Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

The Sri Yantra is considered the mother of all mandalas, and depicts the origin of all matter, vibrating out from the center, into infinity (pardon my extremely simpllified explanation.) A yantra is a visual depiction of a mantra. The Sri Yantra is how the mantra "om" would look if you could see its vibration.
Contemporary mandalas, acrylic/mixed media Mandala (mahn-dah-la) is the Sanskrit word for circle, the most basic form of sacred geometry. Circular forms, combined with spirals, squares, triangles and crosses, form a symbolic language found throughout the world. Mandala art generally has a central focal point and is symmetrical. These designs have been used as tools for spiritual contemplation, healing and transformation. They transmit a sense of integration, balance, and unity. Gazing at a mandala integrates the right and left brain for an increased sense of calm focus. I use basic tools to create these images - rulers and compasses and protractors. There is great satisfaction in creating mandalas "from scratch." ...
